While working on their Considerate & Caring Petal, kindergarten Daisy Troop 2527 adopted Team Red Legs, a team of soldiers depoloyed in Afghanistan. After learning about the sacrifices the soldiers made for our country, including being away from their families for the holidays, the girls decided to send each of the soldiers Easter goodie bags and handmade cards.

The soldiers were so touched that they flew a flag over their camp in honor of Troop 2527 and will be mailing that very flag to the girls! What a humbling experience for me as a leader and moreover, what an honor for the girls!
