Our troop had an amazing time celebrating Girl Scouts’ 100th Birthday in New York and New Jersey this summer. We spent two days in New York City visiting the 9/11 Memorial, going to the top of the Empire State Building, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, having fun in Central Park and Times Square, eating pizza and hot dogs, riding in taxis and subways, as well as seeing and experiencing many other things. We then spent a day at Liberty State Park were we celebrated with hundreds of other Girl Scouts, making crafts, exchanging SWAPS, and enjoying Joe Jonas and Sarah Bareilles in concert. We even met Anna Maria Chávez while we were there. Our troop is so lucky to have the support of all of our parents and our leaders that helped us achieve going on this journey. We are very proud to be Girl Scouts!
