Our group was able to volunteer at the 9Health Fair in April. Since we have a multi-level troop with ages ranging from 5-11 it’s tricky to find somewhere that will let our whole troop volunteer.
We had 13 girls help that day and it was AMAZING! They handed out water for those who were having blood drawn, handed out goody bags, gave directions and even helped with the “prize patrol” for the drawing that volunteers entered.
At our first meeting this fall, the girls said things like “I liked helping all the people,” “I liked listening to the people tell stories,” “I liked handing out the prizes” and “I can’t wait to help again this year!”
I know what our troop will be doing this April!!
